Open Source Licenses
Effective August 2026
Auramatic is built on open source. Everything on this page runs in your browser, on your machine, when you use the app.
Two of these come with conditions attached. Their authors ask anyone who ships their work to say so and to point you back to the original, so that is what this page does. We use both exactly as published, with nothing changed.
The two that come with conditions
essentia.js 0.1.3 · AGPL-3.0, copyleft
Reads BPM and musical key off your tracks. Built by the Music Technology Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Source: github.com/MTG/essentia.js · License text · Shipped unmodified.
mpg123-decoder 1.0.3 · MIT wrapper around LGPL-2.1 libmpg123, copyleft
Decodes your MP3s so they can be analyzed in the first place.
Wrapper: github.com/eshaz/wasm-audio-decoders · Decoder: mpg123.de · License text · Both shipped unmodified.
Worth saying plainly: decoding and analysis both happen on your computer. Your audio never gets uploaded, not to us and not to anyone else.
Everything else we ship
All permissively licensed. Names link out if you want to look closer.

Getting the source
The two copyleft components are shipped exactly as their authors published them, and the links above go to the originals, which is where the complete source lives.
If you would rather get a copy straight from us, email auraboros.creatives@gmail.com and we will send it over.
